The first cycle of the MEDTEC School, the international programme in Medicine and Surgery and in Biomedical Engineering organised by Humanitas University and Politecnico di Milano has successfully concluded. The programme integrates and enhances the skills of medical doctors with those typical of engineers.

The new graduates are the first in Europe to obtain the double degree in Medicine and Surgery, awarded by Humanitas University, and in Biomedical Engineering awarded by Politecnico di Milano.

Launched in 2019 as an innovative programme, MEDTEC School - coordinated by Maria Laura Costantino, professor of Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, and Maurizio Cecconi, professor of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care at Humanitas University - has 389 enrolled students to date.
