At the Laboratory of Soft Tissue Mechanics and 3D Bioprinting we apply our skills to investigate the properties of soft tissues and scaffolds in relation to medical devices and prosthesis, treatment of pathologies by surgery or drug delivery, tissue regeneration. Articular cartilage, pericardium, cornea and retina are among the studied tissues.
We are also dedicated to 3D printing of functional tissues for regenerative medicine, and we design and prototype bioreactors for in vitro culture of engineered tissues.
