Since the late 1960’s, the CRECK group as steadily grown its competence, impact and international recognition. The multiscale research methodology characterizing the research activity covers from fundamental principles at the molecular level (chemical kinetics, ab initio transition state theory, thermodynamics, mass and heat transport phenomena, turbulence-kinetics interaction) to the related impact at the real-world application level (industrial reactors and burners design, minimization of pollutant emissions, recycle of solid fuels and plastics, biomass conversion).
