Research
My research is aimed to developing new organic and hybrid-metal organic materials for relevant technological applications such as gas adsorption, selective separation and light emitting properties. Also solid-state behavior involving structural transformations in crystalline materials is studied in order to understand their dynamic properties.
Current investigations, very much oriented to the development of functional materials use crystal engineering approaches by exploiting a wide diversity if supramolecular interactions such as coordination bonds second sphere interactions and hydrogen bonding interactions.
X-ray crystallography involving single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction using laboratory diffractometers and synchrotron radiation is used to elucidate the crystal structures of the materials under investigation.
