2002: Associate professor in Materials Science and Technology
From academic year 1999-2000 teacher of courses on materials science and technology, corrosion and protection of metals, durability of materials at the Politecnico di Milano. Teacher of the course “Applied electrochemistry” for the pHD in Materials Engineering from 2011 to 2016.
He is part of the board of pHD in Materials Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. He has been part of the commission for the evaluation of the pHD at the University of Vigo (Spain) and Ecole de Mines St. Etienne (France).

He is author of more than 200 papers in scientific journals (75, among these 55 international) books (6 international) and congress proceedings (60 international), 1 didactic book and CD-ROM and book chapters.
He is part of the editorial board of the “International journal of corrosion and scale inhibition”.
