Gianvito Vilé, Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering "Giulio Natta" of the Politecnico di Milano, received the Robert Karl Grasselli Award 2024 from the Italian Chemical Society and the Interdivisional Catalysis Group. The award is given to two young Italian scientists who have made contributions of particular scientific, innovative or applicative importance in the field of heterogeneous catalysis.

Prof. Vilé is coordinator and/or Principal Investigator of several research projects, including an ERC Starting Grant and an ERC Proof of Concept. His research is focused on understanding the structure and reactivity of single-atom catalysts and on the design of continuous catalytic processes for fine chemicals.
