PROFILE

Mosè Casalegno received his Laurea degree in Chemistry in 1998, from Università Statale di Milano, in Prof. Gabriele Morosi’s research group. In 2001, he received his PhD in Chemistry. During his PhD, he spent one year in the University of Pennsylvania as visiting student in Prof. Andrew Rappe’s group. At that time, his research interests focused on the application of Quantum Monte Carlo methods to fermionic and bosonic systems.

In 2003 he was appointed for a research position in the Department of Environmental Toxicology at the Mario Negri Institute in Milan (advisor: Dr. Emilio Benfenati), where he was responsible for European projects in the area of grid computing.

He joined Prof. Guido Raos’ research group at Politecnico di Milano in 2009. Since then, his research activity has been focused on the application of computational methods for the characterization of materials and devices with applications in organic electronics. In 2019, he was appointed as senior researcher in Chemistry, at the Chemistry, Materials, and Chemical Engineering Department “G. Natta” at Politecnico di Milano.
