Luca Magagnin, Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering “Giulio Natta”, during the 244th meeting of The Electrochemical Society (Gothenburg, October 8-12, 2023), has been elected Chair of the Electrodeposition Division of The Electrochemical Society and appointed Member of the ECS Board of Directors for the next two years.

Electrodeposition Division has been established in 1922 and it promotes the fundamental understanding and application of additive processes such as electrolytic deposition, electrophoretic deposition, electroprecipitation, electroless deposition; as well as subtractive processes, such as pattern transfer by etching or electropolishing. Of central importance are advancements that contribute to the production of bulk materials, thin films, and materials for the micro- and nano-regimes.
