Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting

Posted on  6/17/2025

Congratulation to Prisca Viviani and Nicolò Allasia who have been selected to attend the 74th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in Chemistry (June 29 - July 4, 2025, Lindau, Germany). They will join a selected group of young scientists and about 35 Nobel Laureates to discuss cutting-edge topics such as circular chemistry, sustainability, ethics and AI, and science communication. Since 1951, the Lindau Meetings have offered early-career researchers the rare chance to engage directly with Nobel Laureates and foster global scientific dialogue. In addition to lectures and panel discussions, the program includes interactive sessions, science walks, and informal networking opportunities.

Prisca Viviani completed her PhD in Materials Engineering at the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering "Giulio Natta" under the supervision of Prof. Luca Magagnin, focusing her research on the study and use of inkjet printing for the fabrication of flexible devices for energy storage and MEMS systems. She is currently involved in the European ERC project IMMMENSE of Prof. Alberto Corigliano (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering), which aims at the development of intelligent devices able to perceive, exchange, interpret and compare signals, exploring new frontiers in the field of printable multifunctional materials.

Nicolò Allasia is pursuing a PhD at the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering “Giulio Natta” under the supervision of Prof. Gianvito Vilé, focusing on single-atom catalysts for fine chemical synthesis.

The selection for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting is a significant milestone in the academic career of early-career scientists, providing them with a unique platform to engage with leading scientists from around the world, exchange ideas on the future directions of chemistry, and network with some of the brightest minds in the field.
