Rome, October 15, 2024 - Elvira Spatolisano of the GASP (Group on Advanced Separation Processes & GAS Processing) research group was awarded the Eni Award 2024 as Young Researcher of the Year for her PhD thesis entitled “Novel Technologies for H₂S Valorization”, supervised by Prof. Laura Annamaria Pellegrini (PhD Degree in Industrial Chemistry and Chemical Engineering del Politecnico di Milano – cycle XXXIV).

The Eni Award ceremony was held on October, 15^th 2024 at the Quirinal Palace, in the presence of the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, Eni’s Chairman of the Board of Directors Giuseppe Zafarana and Eni’s CEO Claudio Descalzi.

This year marks the 16^th edition of the award, which is recognised internationally as a benchmark for research in the fields of energy and the environment. The award has evolved over the years with the aim of developing a better use of energy sources, promoting science and technology applied to the environment and enhancing new generations of researchers.

Elvira Spatolisano received the Young Researcher of the Year award for the topic Energy transition.
