AIMAT Association, established in 1993, recognizes Materials Science and Engineering as its primary cultural area.
AIMAT objectives are: to promote and coordinate the teaching of disciplines concerning Materials Science and Technology in Italian Universities, to foster and promote research in the field of Materials Science and Engineering, as well as the broadest collaboration with the world of scientific research and of industry both in national and international level.

Professors and researchers in Materials Science and Technology of our Department have always been actively involved in AIMAT.

On the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of its establishment, AIMAT has published a document that summarizes the results achieved, and the development prospects associated with the training, the research and the sharing of the knowledge at a technological and industrial level conducted by the members of AIMAT Association.
