The European project LIFE CAPTURE (Combining novel Analytical protocols for PFAS contamination with Technologies for sustainable Remediation) - where the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering “Giulio Natta” is partner in collaboration with ABO, iFLUX, Greensoil, Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, SLU - Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, SGS and Viacqua SpA - tackles PFAS contamination in soil and groundwater. The aim of the project is the development and in field implementation of new analytical protocols and new technologies for PFAS monitoring and degradation.

As part of LIFE CAPTURE project, SurfaceLAB will develop a pilot plant for water treatment based on photoelectrocatalysis and new catalysts.
