The winning projects of the Polisocial Award 2020, the annual contest, promoted by Polisocial, that reinvests the 5x1000 IRPEF funds in research projects with a high social impact.

The theme of this seventh edition is "Vulnerability and Innovation": the current health emergency has brought to light a widespread vulnerability that can be observed on different scales and in different contexts.

Among the winning projects, we highlight those that involve the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering “Giulio Natta”:

BAMBI | Balloon Against Maternal BleedIng
The project aims to develop a low-cost home device that reduces access to hospitals and the negative impact of COVID on mothers, from different points of view.

HANDS | Health AND urban Space in Chamanculo, Mozambique
