For the cycle Incontro con l'autore a comparison between the writer Marco Malvaldi and Maurizio Masi, Head of the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering "Giulio Natta".

The meeting focused on the Chemistry, the 150 years of the Periodic Table of the Elements and the 500 years of the death of Leonardo da Vinci, themes to which the writer has dedicated the books: L'architetto dell'invisibile ovvero come pensa un chimico. Scienza e idee (Raffaello Cortina Editore, 2017) e La misura dell'uomo (Giunti, 2018).

Marco Malvaldi graduated in Chemistry at the Università di Pisa, received a PhD and spent two years as Temporary Research Fellow.

In 2005-2007, Malvaldi also worked with Guido Raos and and Giuseppe Allegra in the field of polymer simulation, publishing two papers on Journal of Physical Chemistry B.
