A study by a group of researchers of Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering “Giulio Natta” in collaboration with University of Vienna and Harvard Medical School has been published on the Journal «The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters».

The experimental and computational study in the field of Nuclear Overhauser Effect (NOE) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) opens a new chapter for the understanding of intermolecular interactions.

About the Cover:

The range of the intermolecular nuclear Overhauser effect (NOE) depends on the nature of the interacting nuclei. For isotopes with strongly differing gyromagnetic ratios (for instance, 1H and 7Li), the NOE reports on local structure.
