Congratulations to Matteo Gamba, Researcher Fellow at the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering "Giulio Natta", who won the Award Gualtiero Gusmano for the best five-minute oral presentation by researchers under 35 on the topics "corrosion and protection of materials, advanced ceramic materials, alloy processing technologies, smart materials, composite materials, coatings and surface treatments".

The prize was awarded at XIV Convegno INSTM - Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per la Scienza e Tecnologia dei Materiali (Cagliari, 9-12 June 2024), for a study entitled:  Rivestimento PEO resistente alla corrosione su alluminio 2024 con superficie biomimetica per applicazioni aeronautiche di M. Gamba, A. Brenna, F. Ceriani, M. Ormellese, M. Fedel, A. Cristoforetti, regarding the results achieved within  WP3 of the project Mako (Biomimetic corrosion resistant aluminium for aeronautics).
