A study by researchers from the Politecnico di Milano (research group of Prof. Manuela Teresa Raimondi from the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering “Giulio Natta”) and from the Centro di Ricerca Pediatrica Romeo ed Enrica Invernizzi dell'Università di Milano  on bioengineering tools to support the research of vaccines for SARS-CoV-2 and therapeutic agents for COVID-19, has published by «Theranostics».

New bioengineered technologies could speed up research on Covid-19 by saving up to 90% of the animals used in the process.
