  The Olfactometric Laboratory of Politecnico di Milano University represents a reference point for the analysis and the assessment of the environmental odour impact, linking the academic perspective and industrial sector.

   

  The innovation of research techniques, monitoring, analysis and estimation of atmospheric dispersion allowed the Laboratory to become a national reference for industries, inspection bodies and European researchers, through participation in projects financed by the Horizon program 2020.

   

  The Laboratory deals with:

   

  • Collection and analysis of odour samples by dynamic olfactometry
  • Assessment of the environmental odour impact
  • Continuous monitoring of odours with electronic noses
  • Chemical analysis of odour emissions

   

  Given the experience gained in the odour analysis, in conjunction with environmental and industrial research, we apply our knowledge in other sectors of great scientific interest, such as medical-diagnostic and quality control in product development.
