As concerns characterization topic, the team has enough expertise and proper collaboration for a large range of analytical techniques. In the biomedical fields, the team has know-how in anti-tumor synthesis and in glycosaminoglycans (heparin) and in the design of new natural and synthetic basic fibers. As concern environmental problems, the team can work on recovery and enhancement of industrial, agricultural and natural wastes. The group has also expertise in the preparation of new synthetic fibers to use in the agricultural field. As concern nanotechnology, the group has been working on bioactive nanoparticles and on nanocellulose.
