Current Research Interests

The scientific activity is mainly focused on surface treatments, thin-film technology and metallurgical processes:

• surface treatments of engineering materials
• PVD and plasma-assisted processes
• CVD synthesis of graphene and carbon-based materials
• nanostructured coatings
• wear-resistant self-lubricating coatings (DLC)
• heat treatments and thermochemical treatments of steels and non-ferrous alloys
