My main research interest are materials and manufacturing techniques for the preparation of regenerative medicine scaffolds, the supports designed to guide cells in the reconstruction of damaged biological tissues.
For this reason, I mainly deal with polymeric materials, (naturally occurring polymers in particular), with manufacturing processes for the preparation of fibrous and/or porous structures and with their morphological, chemical-physical and biological characterization techniques.
