Manuela Teresa Raimondi and Gianvito Vilé (Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering "Giulio Natta") and Enrico Zio (Department of Energy) have been appointed members of the Academy of Engineering and Technology (ITATEC), founded in 2022 at the Accademia dei Lincei with the aim of stimulating and pursuing the exchange of knowledge between universities, research institutions and industry, providing assessments and recommendations to stakeholders, policymakers and companies.
The founding members together with the members appointed on merit form a stable reservoir of experts capable of representing the prevailing positions in the technical-scientific world.
ITATEC is actively involved within the "European Council of Applied Sciences, Technologies and Engineering" (Euro-CASE), allowing Italy to fully participate in the European Commission's scientific advisory mechanism on issues related to engineering and technology.
