Tuesday 16 July 2019 – at Auditorium ComoNext Innovation Hub in Lomazzo (Como) – the final event of the GRATA project: GRAfene per il Tessile Avanzato e la Moda took place.

The GRATA project was born from the intent to satisfy an emerging need of the fashion system linked to the development of functional fabrics. The objective of the project was to develop a new class of fabrics based on the use of graphene, working on the combination with metallizaded fabrics. Furthermore, the project aimed to characterize, in order to provide the market with objective choice indicators, the electrical, thermal and comfort properties of the products used. The innovative processes concerned the entire supply chain: from the creation of the starting materials to the prototyping.
