Vincenzina Barbera is a professor in the courses of Chemistry and of Enviromental Chemistry at Politecnico Milan. She got her PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Catania with a thesis on Domino reactions. She was an assistant professor (RTD-A) (2018 – 2021) and a Post-Doc Research Fellow (2014 - 2018) at the Department of Chemistry, Material, and Chemical Engineering, “G. Natta," Politecnico di Milano. She is the author of 57 publications on journals; 2 chapters of book; 15 publications in conference proceedings, 98 oral communications at meetings; 9 invited lectures/presentations; 52 posters communications at meetings. She is the inventor of 12 families of patents and 20 patent applications.
Her research topics range from synthetic organic chemistry to single-atom catalysis, materials for tires, and sustainable flexible electronics funded by Italian, European, and company granted projects.
