SWITCH2PRODUCT | INNOVATION CHALLENGE

Milan, 11 December 2019 - The 11th edition of Switch2Product | Innovation Challenge has conclused. Innovation Challenge is the program that suppots innovative solutions, new technologies and business ideas proposed by students, Researchers, Professors, ALUMNI of the Poitecnico di Milano, organized by PoliHub, the Innovation District & Startup Accelerator of the Politecnico di Milano managed by Fondazione Politecnico, by Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of the Politecnico di Milano and by Deloitte.

Among the winning teams, we highlight those of the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering “Giulio Natta”:

Diag Nose

An electronic nose allows to diagnose prostate cancer and determine its aggressiveness early and non-invasively.

The project was awarded the Disruptive Innovation Grant, worth € 60,000, consigned by the Rector, for the radical nature of the proposed innovation.

Bi-Rex (Ades)

Innovative and sustainable treatment for the recovery of high value biomass products, deriving from agro-industrial processing.

The project received the S2P Grant of € 30,000 dedicated to the first prototyping and validation of the proposed technology.

Polymer Flakes

Polymer Flakes customizable for the recovery of pollutants from contaminated fluids and / or the chromatographic separation of biopharmaceuticals. 

The project received the S2P Grant of € 30,000 dedicated to the first prototyping and validation of the proposed technology.

BAMBI

A simple and ingenious idea to combat postpartum mortality, won a Special Mention with a prize of € 15,000.

Team: Francesco De Gaetano, Luca Possenti, Kasra Osouli, Alberto Zanini and Maria Laura Costantino.
